Sedation

We are here to help you!  Mountain View Dentistry is pleased to announce we have anxiety-free dentistry for you, our anxious patients.  We now offer sedation dentistry to all our patients who have been afraid to go to a dentist but have been longing for a healthy, fabulous smile.  Your first step is making the appointment.  This can be the most difficult for many anxious people.  We make every effort to calm your fears.  When you come to our office we will discuss with you your wants and desires, your health history and we will take x-rays.  You will never be judged or embarrassed and we will take every measure to ensure you are comfortable and feel welcome.  When you make your appointment you will be given a prescription for a sedative that you will take the night before your appointment.  This will guarantee a good nights rest and make sure you wake up relaxed.  The day of your appointment you will have a companion bring you to the office.  Additional medications will be provded to create the ultimate in relaxation.  Dr. Elston and her experienced sedation team will monitor you throughout your entire visit.  Your companion will then take you home and stay with you until you’re completely recovered from your sedation medication.  The next day most patients will feel no discomfort or residual effects from your visit and little if any memory of the appointment.  Call us today we will help you achieve your dream.

NITROUS

We also offer Nitrous, commonly known as “laughing gas”.  Nitrous is administered through a nasal cup that you inhale to calm you during your appointment and has no lasting effects following your appointment.  This is safe method for relaxation in adults and children alike.
